"There are really three parts to the creative process. First there is inspiration, then there is the execution, and finally there is the release."-Eddie Van Halen
The Processes, Tools, and Principles for Managing Creativity and Innovation....whew! what a mouthful! Today's class was all about how to achieve that perfect level of creativity for things that don't exist!
My point exactly! To further simplify this sentence, let me briefly explain what was told to the "innovators" watching this lecture.
First, the other students and I looked at Case Study 1 An In-Depth Look at the IDEO Method. The in depth look at the IDEO method seemed to be very methodical to me, like follow one step after the other, then things would fall together. I happenend to like this method, personally it feels more comfortable, plus if you get stuck on one step you can always go back to previous steps and improve them. The tools used for the IDEO method also seem personal, because I feel I would learn the best from following a specific order like that.

Application of the principles and utilizing the resources needed to successfully fulfill the TRIZ method seem simple enough but personally, i'd probably need some guidance from my fellow teammates to move along successfully
Personally, I thought both cases were interesting and I enjoyed learning 2 sides of a spectrum, I just felt that the IDEO method tended more to me.
Unfortunately, I cannot comment on whether the team experiences were good or not because I wasn't there to experience them!! But never fear, there will usually be some group work to comment on!
My mind learned that the Deep Dive videos (Part 1/Part 2/Part 3) were interesting
My heart learned that acronyms are always fun to create! Then it's fun to see what the acronym actually says!!
My gut learned that 40-50 steps may seem like a lot of things to do, but once learned about, they don't seem quite as bad :)
My curiosity wondered how long each case study would actually take in real life
My imagination learned that anything can be achieved through a little instruction, which can create wondrous things that can inspire anyone...
See you guys next week! Thanks for stopping by!
