HI! |
"This blog is designed to capture and maintain a record of my curiosity drivers, my thoughts and mental processes, my creative efforts, and my comments/reactions/insights about anything related to this course!"
So the first week of class is always nerve-wracking to any student because you have to wonder about all of the possibilities that lie ahead for the year.
Personally, I had NO idea what to expect from this class, THE DESIGN PROCESS...what does that even mean?! Lucky for me, I was happily suprised at what was to come...
So as I sat in the 4th row, edge seat, from the front of the auditorium class (like I always do) I looked around to gaze at my fellow classmates and see what a diverse group we had, when class actually began.
After a brief description on what the syllabus said and what the class held for us and our responsibilities were, we jumped right into the lecture. As my new professor, began to speak I had a feeling that this first lecture was going to be like a motivational speech type ordeal, and...it kinda was, kinda wasn't. I really did enjoy the lecture, that's just what it felt like to me!
The exercises, in the beginning of the lecture, was something very new to me! In these auditorium type classes, there was no such thing as, "in-class" participation, which could potentially make the class very stale. Let's face it, sometimes students can get bored and antsy, so these kinds of things always liven students up!
There were definitely a lot of thought provoking questions asked throughout the lecture, which I enjoyed. The FUTURE was one things that was mentioned throughout the lecture, and a lot of new innovating ways in which the future was changing and being innovated by mankind! Which I always enjoy seeing.

still not much help about what the class actually was, but patience was never my strongest suit... |
This was actually the picture given to us the very first day, and was told that was the "logo" for the class

All in all I look forward for what's to come in this class. I'm excited to see what I learn!
