Insights and Discoveries Week 5

“The strength of the team is each individual member. The strength of each member is the team.”
- Phil Jackson

I believe this quote sums up what class was about today, TEAMWORK.

There are so many different aspects to teamwork. There are team dynamics, team norms, and team creativity to be dealt with. Plus, each team has to naturally choose who the leader is, plus other different jobs in the team.

The interactive exercises in class with Dr. V were fun! I know I couldn't go up there and publicly display myself like that (hopefully I will in the future, but it will take time) The bullseye trick actually made me laugh out loud!

I especially loved the breakdown of the learning personas in each group! Plus discussing them with other people gave me an idea of how other people creatively worked. It was really interesting. Personally I liked the hat section the most because of the different colored hats. I feel yellow was the hat I related to the most, then yellow, red, green, blue, and white!

Profiling different team members throughout the team using frameworks like DISC® Aspects of Behavior, Enneagram Types, and Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument (HBDI) were also interesting in how people are sorted into different categories. The test I personally liked the best is Myers Briggs Type Indicator®

My own personal result is ISFJ or "Protector" and the description of protector is so accurate, I was surprised!!

Overeall this was a very interesting class session, I liked personal profiling section(s) the best! ^_^

Individual and team sections worked flawless as always! NO complaints about my group-mates, I loved hearing what they had to say!

Thanks for stopping by! See you next week!
